Mike Waite is leading us on a walk and talk about Box Hill Spiders on Saturday 20th May at 10am.  We will slowly walk through some of the typical Box Hill habitats – open downland, Yew woodland, scrub etc, catching and looking for spiders, identifying them and including reference to the life-styles, taxonomy, etc.

Mike is the Director of Research and Monitoring at Surrey Wildlife Trust.  He is also a significant spider enthusiast and discovered the critically endangered Great Fox-Spider on Surrey MOD land after more than 20 years without a UK sighting.

We will be starting from the White Hill Car Park on Headley Lane.  This sometimes gets very busy in which case we will park at Warren Farm Barns and ferry people to White Hill Car Park, so anyone booking will need to arrive in plenty of time.
