Surrey Hills Arts has again organised a “Harvest” event on Box Hill on September 17th from 6-8pm. This free annual event aims to celebrate the Surrey Hills landscape at harvest time and this year the theme is Connections – between each other and between us and nature.
The event will take place on the Donkey Green where multiple choirs will sing and poets recite their specially created work around a unique art installation designed by Diana Burch and contributed to by hundreds of local people. You can bring a picnic or buy a pizza from the NT wood fired pizza van and a hot drink from the cafe.
The evening finishes at 8pm when you can join in a lantern lit walk down the Zig Zag Road if you want. The Zig Zag road will be closed from 7pm until about 10pm. If you park at the top of the Hill and join the lantern lit walk obviously you will need to walk back up the Hill to pick up the car. If you don’t join this walk you will need to leave in the car via the Box Hill village.
